Unified tourist visa for residents, visitors of GCC countries launching soon.
In Doha, Qatar, a unified tourist visa for the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries has received unanimous approval. Residents of GCC countries and international tourists will soon have the convenience of traveling among Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain using a single visa.

The announcement was made by Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, during the 40th meeting of the GCC Interior Ministers in Muscat, Oman. The implementation of this system is anticipated in 2024-25 across all participating nations.

Al Budaiwi praised the new visa as a significant accomplishment, highlighting it as evidence of the close cooperation and effective directives of the GCC leaders. Additionally, during the meeting, the ministers inaugurated an electronic system that connects traffic violations information across the six countries.
